LISTA installs the largest photovoltaic plant in Canton Thurgau
Lista AG put the largest photovoltaic plant in the Canton of Thurgau into operation on its company premises in Erlen on 17 July 2023. The facility covers a roof area of 15,000 square metres and produces around 2 gigawatt hours of electricity per year.
Lista AG, the market-leading provider of workspace and storage equipment in Europe, is setting an example as an innovative, future-oriented company in terms of sustainability, equipping the roofs of the production halls in Erlen with solar panels spanning an area of 15,000 square metres. Over 4,600 modules in south-west orientation use the daily sunlight to generate around 2 gigawatt hours of electricity per year. This means that Lista AG covers more than a third of its annual electricity requirements as well as feeds around 800,000 kilowatt hours of electricity into the local grid.
The switch to solar also makes a significant contribution to reducing CO₂ emissions, putting Lista AG a major step closer to the defined target of net zero CO₂ emissions by 2025. Energy efficiency is also continuously optimised through the installation of state-of-the-art production lines, new compressors and innovative LED lighting technology on the entire production site.
