Safety for electronic components
ESD has the designation electrostatic discharge. ESD can impair or destroy the function of electronic, electrical and electromechanical components. LISTA ESD solutions offer optimum protection in this area. LISTA work equipment in ESD description reliably protects electrical and other ESD-sensitive components and parts in production, storage and assembly from electrostatic discharge. Our ESD solutions include a wide range of ESD-safe equipment, from ESD workstations to lamps and accessories with ESD protection. The LISTA system allows each ESD workstation to be configured according to individual requirements, thus ensuring complete ESD protection.
Workstations
In an ESD-protected zone, every workstation should be equipped with ESD protection. Electrostatic charge is dissipated in a controlled manner via the working surface and an earthing cable, ensuring that the workstation remains electrically neutral.
Personal earthing
People are the main source of electrostatic charge. Therefore, employees working in electronics manufacturing are advised to wear a wrist strap with an earthing cable and antistatic footwear. Desk chairs and stand-up seats should also be equipped with ESD protection.
Marking
ESD-protected areas must be marked. It is also advisable to use appropriate signs or stickers to note which components are at risk.
Storage
Closed ESD drawer units or hinged door cabinets, as well as ESD shelving (Faraday cage) with appropriate ESD containers, ensure the optimal storage of electronic components.
